Doncic, Mavs Blow Big Lead, Hang On to Beat Clippers 103-101

The Dallas Mavericks (4-1) blew a big lead but held on to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers (1-4) 103-101 on Wednesday night in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round series.
The Mavericks led by 19 points in the third quarter, but the Clippers stormed back to tie the game with just over two minutes remaining. However, Luka Doncic hit a driving layup with 1:06 left to put the Mavericks back in front, and Jalen Brunson added a free throw to make it a three-point lead.
The Clippers had a chance to tie the game again in the final seconds, but Paul George's three-point attempt bounced off the rim.
Doncic finished with 30 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists for the Mavericks. Brunson added 24 points and seven rebounds, while Tim Hardaway Jr. had 19 points.
Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 26 points, while George had 20 points and nine rebounds. Reggie Jackson added 18 points off the bench.
The Mavericks will host the Clippers in Game 2 on Friday night.
