Max Verstappen Finishes Second, Sergio Perez Third

In a thrilling race at Silverstone, Lewis Hamilton has claimed his ninth British Grand Prix victory. The Mercedes driver dominated the race from start to finish, holding off a late challenge from Red Bull's Max Verstappen to secure a hard-fought win.

Verstappen finished in second place, with Sergio Perez rounding out the podium for Red Bull in third. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finished in fourth and fifth, respectively.

The race was marred by a number of incidents, including a first-lap collision between George Russell and Esteban Ocon. Several drivers also retired due to mechanical issues, including Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.

Hamilton's victory extends his lead in the drivers' championship standings to 34 points over Verstappen. The next race on the Formula 1 calendar is the Austrian Grand Prix on July 10.
